Over the last four years I have been on many Gardening Forums, and eventually leave, due to seldom encountering any gardeners.
I have been on this forum only for a short time, and I would like to say, it has to be amongst one of the best, I have encountered.
Posters have opinions often based on personal experience, which add substance to the posts.
it is a pleasure visiting this forum, and being a member.
The only small irritant is not seeing the Zone or Location in some profiles. This information is often necessary to add a sensible response.

And it's a pleasure getting to read your posts. I must say, you do seem to have a lot of plants and experience. It's good to have you here, Durgan.

Durgan,
I agree with ya 100%!
Especially with your statement of "...based on personal experience...".
Whereas I have always based my posts on hands on experience,
there are some here that have no "personal experience", but instead rely upon something the've gleaned from the Internet.
And feel a need to add to their daily post counts.
And to often, this information they've posted is outdated!
Sometimes it's over 10 years old.
Yet those posters (only they can tell you why),
Choose not to date the source of their information.
But instead, pass it off as new information.
Thereby misleading your fellow IDIGGERS.
And sometime this posted info is incorrect.
I mean, just because it's on the 'Net, doesn't make it true.
Am I right?
That's where "hands on experience" is more valuable to our fellow gardeners.
Hands down!

I also try to ask new members to give thier zone/local under the name.
Some do, Some dont.
We went thru this last year, but Greenzone never adjusted this to be a mandate.
Maybe, one day we will know Who, What, When, WHERE....under our Names.
Thanks Durgan.....dig on.
