I just noticed that the plums they are selling around here have the Disney logo on them. It seems rather off the wall. Do they happen to have an orchard at Disneyland/Disney World, and make money off it? Or do they own a subsidiary that produces fruit?

Disney is everywhere.... could it be the plums are part of an ad campaign? You know, like fast food meal toys?

I do not know about Disneyland but the Epcot center has an eco ag center.

With all the islands and resorts that they own, it might be there is an orchard or three hidden away somewhere.

They weren't part of an ad campaign; they were in regular stores.

I see ads in regular stores all the time! Disney has tie ins with cereals, cheese, juice, etc. What I meant was did the fruit with the Disney sticker advertise Disney, or was it produced by Disney. Like a Happy Meal.

Advertises Disney, aim is to attract kids to fruit and vegetables & create positive image.
Our local area paper, the Carson City NV Nevada Appeal has an article on that today "growers strike licensing deals with enetertainment companies hungry to cultivate positive images among health-conscious parents and kids.
The entertainment giant is licensing characters to Indianapolis-based produce distributor Imagination Farms LLC, which has deals with 15 large growers across the country to provide fruits and vegetables for the Disney Garden brand."

i think they have been in ag production for a long time. back in the mid ninties someone refferred me to them when i was doing some research. i think they'd rather you ask them directly than to have me or anyone else give you false or misleading information about what they are into in terms of production.
