A local neighbor gave me many pounds of soybean meal, which he had been using as an organic amendment until he discovered that rabbits were digging it up to eat. (And incidentally uprooting his rosebushes and other plants where he had used it as amendment.)

I know it is used in dry dogfood. Do I need to cook the soy meal
before giving it to my dog?

What about my ducks and hen? Can I give it to them as is, or does it need to be cooked first?

No way I'm using it as an amendment--already have rabbits coming to the garden.

Thanks in advance for advice.

Howdy.
This is my first post here...
According to Gene Logsdon in his homesteading book, yes soybean meal should be cooked for animals ( all ).
Happy feeding! I hope to grow soy for mine. Gene also suggests a nice rotation with grains that appeals to me.
