Hello All!
I am home at last and have caught my wind...
Wow, what a trip 10,000 miles in a little over 3 weeks!
From here we traveled to Crawford TX, to El Paso, crossed into Juarez and then down though Mexico to Durango, Mexico City, Oaxaca, Merida, Cancun, then to Belize and Guatemala and back along the east coast of mexico.
We found around 30 new types of seeds, including a bright red squash that has juicy sweet flesh, not sure of the species. There were some really unique types that we found, and oh the tropical fruit, I got to try several types that I have not tried before.
I will post photos at www.gettle.org when I get home from a short trip to Tennessee.
I may have a few sample seeds to spare if any one wants to test anything I collected.
Happy Holidays!
Jere

Oh how tempting, but since we're just establishing a garden in the new place I'd better wait....I betcha I can guess a couple who will jump on it though.

I'd be happy to test anything possibly suited to arid zone 6 equivalent, c. 4300' elevation if you want another tester.. No real trellis taller than 3-4' though.
Some good composted & aged horse manure plots, others are stony and sandy/alkiline.
