Anyone have an idea?
I have planted corn for about 5-6 years now...and this is the first time that I can recall this happening.

I have some corn stalks, that seem to be ready to get silk, and the tassels are maybe going to be ready with pollen , at about the same time(a few days, perhaps?),as the silk appears.

In fact, what's odd... the corn that is 6 ft tall, and looks the best, is the corn w/o silk, but has pollen.
The other(same type of) corn stalks, that are about 4.5 ft tall, are the stalks that are growing more normally.

Anyone?

the tassels always appear first .then silks appear a week or so latter.nothing wrong to worry about.

Thanks.

I am just used to seeing the tassels appearing(but not with pollen) about the same time as the silk...then the tassels would with pollen/be ready, about the same time as the silk.
