I set my beans up with the corn this year. They didn't climb very high, except for the one that was way up the sunflower. They stopped producing and died back about the same time the corn did. I went out this morning to clear the dead corn stalks and they are not only growing again, one of them has pretty purple flowers! A couple have newly sprouted close to where I planted them in the spring. Is this unusual? Any suggestions for the corn stalks? Should I leave them or take them out? I have already planted some new stuff in that area.

They're alive! The beans have rejuvenated after I thought they were dead and gone and are now producing beans again. Is this strange or what?

I had some growing up my corn too.
The old dry stocks fell over, and the beans went with em!
Yea, they are still alive, but now are sprawling across the ground.
Im sure pests will get to them, so I guess its time to make some Compost out of it all.
Enjoy;)

odd for it to die out & come back.
My stuff happens with pole beans is something is eating the plants at the 6 ft & up point. Something is eating every leaf below kneee high & above head high on my pole beans. Between 2 & 6 ft high they are bushy & look great :D
