This plant is a perennial, and is subject to powdery mildew, so the foliage should not be watered. There is also a white one in the garden, but it didn't grow well this year.

I've got some seed for that, gotta plant it! Does it do any good "garden" stuff, like attract bees, etc.?

Never noticed bee around the flower particularly, but the bright red is the main attraction.

I have some of that in pink and the white 'Davidii'. The pink does get powdery mildew but is beautiful anyway and stands up by itself. The white is suppose to be resistant to powdery mildew.
