White House lashes out at Fox News for 'lies'

In the past few months, Fox News' critical coverage of the Obama administration has been the subject of scornful scrutiny by left-leaning pundits and political satirists. But now the White House appears to be willing to get dirt on its own hands, jumping into the fray by blasting the network's "disregard for facts" in a post on the official White House blog.

Written by White House Online Programs Director Jesse Lee, the post takes issue with Fox News' coverage of the president's attempts to help the city of Chicago secure the 2016 Olympics, saying that Rupert Murdoch's cable news juggernaut, which famously bills itself as being "fair and balanced," has "continued its disregard for the facts in an attempt to smear the Administration's efforts" to convince the International Olympic Committee that the U.S. should host the games.

Lee specifically takes issue with Glenn Beck, who in July accused the president of being a "racist" with "a deep-seated hatred for white people or white culture," -

The move by the Obama White House sets a new watermark in its seemingly escalating war with Fox News. Back in June, President Obama gave an interview to CNBC in which he criticized the network for being "entirely devoted to attacking my administration," and later promised to "call out" anyone who misrepresents him when he delivered his address on health care reform to a joint session of Congress

This is comical.... Obama talked and talked about transparency.... and the people aren't getting it..... and the liberals aren't asking for it.... heck I doubt they'd recognize it if it was served to them on a silver platter.

That is one fault I had with the Bush Administration, the MSM bashed them on a daily basis and they never fought back. I'm not sure if it is better to get into a peeing contest with the press or just ignore them and go about your agenda. The previous administration, I think, did that to their disadvantage.

Heck I watched The Joy Behar Show last night (probably a total of 3 nationwide viewers) and I couldn't believe my eyes - Michael Moore said he wasn't happy with the Obama Administration - Oh my goodness - where is the backlash? Is Michael Moore racist? I think Joy and Michael are keeping their profits - is that in line with the "spread the wealth" values - who's asking these questions on the MSM???? :D

Yeah, Michael says he hasn't profited from a Capitalist society. He is a multi-millionaire but it somehow came around the Capitalist society he lives in. It always amazes me that the rich libs want to be philanthropists with someone else's money.

Pfft. First, Beck doesn't debate, he babbles with the crazy eyes. Attempting to debate him would be equivalent to engaging the old dude that talks to the parking meter on Damen avenue. Second, I am fairly certain that whomever took a call from Faux News asking for that debate in the Obama office would pee themselves laughing. That was my point. Obama is lowering him self & the presidence to the level of sweeping the side walk beside the parking meters.

A young plant manager , well educated guy nice guy was expecting the main bosses in from the city. He was hustling around trying to make sure the place was all in order clean & swept up behind all the equipment . He stoped & told me some stuff he wanted check out before they got there & he was sweeping the floor while talking to me.
I looked at him & said the main office is over paying you . He stoped & looked at me kind suppized & a little mad . I said any fool in this place can sweep the floor. Don't demote your self, your suposed to be worth more tha that.

Its looking more like your right all the time. I see no effert at all to actually fix anything . The money spent on stimulus was spent in all the wrong places & ways. The legeslation that he wants is all harmfull to the country & the economy. The take over of buisness & industry is both expensive & harmfull to both the industrys involved & the country. GM would have had a much better chance of serviving had he done nothing . Its hardly possible to be wrong that many times by accident . At some point you have to say its a plan rather than an screw up.

Hes giving away or ending both our weapons & our defence in the nukular area.
I see we are giving up control of the internet. Takes a lot of spin to put a good face on any of these much less all of them . The list just goes on & on of things that hes doing that hurts or deminishes the countrys power & viability.
