I garden on a large rural property in zone 6. Lately, I've been reading about plants that blossom in winter. So far, I'm experimenting with cold-hardy camellias, sarcococca, helleborus, early-blossoming crocus, galanthus, hamamelis and iris histriodes. Has anyone else in a similar climate experimented with plants that flower throughout November-December-January-February? I would be excited to hear more about other gardeners' experiences!

Hi, Margey - I garden in Baltimore, MD, which is just barely in Zone 7. I have a perennial rosemary plant (one of the most cold-hardy varieties - not sure whether it's "Arp" or "Hardy Hill") that usually blooms in the winter. The tiny light blue flowers are really cute.
