Why are they even including Palin, who is not a candidate and has stated she will not even attempt to be a candidate?

The GOP has to redefine itself. Otherwise, it's toast for a looooong time. At least for the presidency, maybe not so much for the House & Senate.

I suspect that the GOP's deal with the evangelical crowd that started with Reagan has run its course, and they may go back to emphasizing purely fiscal concerns, as opposed to social ones. That will be the only way that they'll get any traction in the future. The majority of the younger generations really don't care about faith based social issues. But by 2016, (or even 2012) they'll be very interested in jobs and fiscal ones.

About 6 months will see the last possible time for a dark horse to make a start.

Ya I hate to think the GOP is running retreads . Palin I really really like her but fear the MSM did its dirty work on her to well. I'll vote for her every time I get the chance & hope . Romney I dont trust to darn greasy for me . Huckabee is well not very conservative but should be electable but I hate to vote for electable or not the worst one on the field.
Id vote for my crazy uncle bill if he ran against Obama :p
