My hubby caught the tailend of a The Garden Show on WKZE.com 98.1 FM and Baker Creek's Rareseeds.com was part of the discussion. He wasn't really sure what the discussion was but he was really psyched that Baker Creek was mentioned.
B/C we have dial-up I cannot listen online but check out the broadcast- WKZE.com/Specialty Programs/The Garden Show-today 1/14/07
The Garden Show is one of the many many great shows WKZE has. Hey Jere- maybe you can be a guest speaker (unless ofcourse you were speaking today?)

Mr tomatoes- I'm not sure if you can get the station in NYC but if you have access to a computer with high speed connections you can stream it live through your computer and you can listen to past Gardening shows- you can download them to your ipod (I think I read that). Its WKZE.com at 98.1 FM.
I don't have high speed so I haven't listened to the broadcast. Maybe tomorrow when I hit the library.

Charlie, why not contact the station and ask them if they have an affiliate station in NYC where you can listen to their Gardening programs?? Here's their contact info

Let us know what you think Charlie. :) I can't get NYC that early in the day, but in good weather on a quiet night, with the wind blowing gently to the north, I can get a couple of NYC channels on the AM dial...
Maybe we can convince them to do a repeat on Saturday night after 11pm, LOL

OK I cannot get that station in. There are too many other stations that interfere. Mostly WRIP Windham 97.9

A lot of stations now have streaming audio on the computer - does their site have this? Or maybe downloads of shows? You wouldn't necessarily be able to participate in phone discussion, but at least you'd get the info. I sometimes listen to stations from WA state this way, still, because the radio stations here where I live are not so good.

I can see where you find a difference where you are now from the quality of programming out west. I watch the PBS station from Seattle a lot! Their membership drives are fun!!! Not like the ones from NYS. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzz

Hi- WKZE.com does stream live. Ofcourse I do not have the high speed capacity- but it has the link on their website. Saturdays topic was proper pruning techniques.
