crop losses/frost?

I don't watch tv or listen to the news much - but I'm hearing rumors of crops in the warm states taking a hit due to frost recently. Will this drive up produce prices and give farmers markets an advantage?

The crop I've heard the most about is the CA citrus, which won't help most of us farmer's market types, but if the citrus was affected to the tune of a billion dollars, then there's a good chance those early CA strawberries were too, and maybe asparagus. I'd think there's a chance it'll benefit the farmer's markets, with the right pricing and advertising...
