Texas is in a heat wave. It's 38 º and the sun is shining. Ice has all melted and it finally stopped raining. Granddog is thrilled to be able to go outside without getting rained on. I think she is doing extra circles in her little spin dance she does before she fertilizes the lawn. :p

Thank goodness. DH and I were both beginning to get depressed. We sat out on the patio for a good part of the day trying to get some vitamin D flowing. As grateful as I am for the moisture, I'd be happier if it would get spread out over the hotter months, rather than all at once. Hopefully El Nino will be good to us all year!

I know we needed the rain, but sunshine sure perks me up!
The creek has water in it for a change and we have puddles all over the yard so the ground is saturated. I hope everyone else thaws out soon.

I think my cracks are permanent, Mary. They're still visible even after all of this rain we've had in the last month or so. My garden soil is holding water wonderfully, though. It is staying moist 2 1/2 times longer than my unammended lawn. I'll work on it next.
Did you get a snow storm GP? There were big, beautiful flakes here in FW.

The snow surprised me. It is really pretty. I saw a few bluebirds hopping on fence posts wondering what was going on.
