My parents just moved last summer from their old decaying home they had lived in for nearly 40 years to a newer/ less upkeep home. Sadly they had to leave behind a lot of plants and fruit trees along with a nice large blackberry patch. The new owners did not mind them taking some starts of things, which they did. But my dad misses his blackberrys. If anyone has some plants to share I would be glad to buy a few for a reasonable price. He would prefer (believe it or not) the kind with thorns.

I have wild ones on my Ozark land, more than enough. But I assume he is wanting the improved, cultivated varieties?

Actually yes, I asked and my mom said that they had both at the old place but that the tame ones were much better. I never liked picking because getting a thorn in your arm stinks but I guess if you are going to all that trouble you would want bigger berrys. HUH? I grew up with them always around but I usually only liked to nibble a few of the bigger juicier ones right out of the freshly picked bucket was never to fond of them baked.

If you're willing to try rooting dormant cuttings, I have some canes I could cut for you. The catch is, they're thornless. I don't know the variety, as I got them from my parents' patch, and they're not big on remembering varieties. LMK.
