I wanted to post a pic in one of the threads, but had a little trouble. Would someone be kind enough to post the step-by-step instructions? Do the pics have to be hosted at "Photobucket" or can you get them from your PC?
Maybe one of the moderators could "stick" this thread in place, once the directions are posted. This way it is easy for new members to find the directions. Thanks in advance.

If you have the pictures on your computer, the option to attach them is available when starting a new thread, or when replying to an existing thread. To add them to a thread, click the blue Post Reply button that's at the bottom of every thread. When the text box for the reply comes up, scroll below that to the Additional Options section--Click Manage Attachments. At that point, a popup should appear where you can select the pictures from your computer that you wish to post.
If you want to show an image that is already posted on the internet, such as at Photobucket, you can put them in a post in this manner:

Use an m in place of the bolded N!
Hope this helps :)

Thanks, Andrew. I get a message that says my files are too big- more than 39.1 KB. My pic will be an icon. lol They are not huge pics. Not sure what I am doing wrong when I resize  Anyone have any advice? Thanks

I've raised the limits on image sizes, maybe you can post it now. If not, you can send it by email to webmaster@rareseeds.com and I'd be glad to resize it for you. :)

Flowerpower, I had the same problem with the picture I am using as my avatar. It was either too big or too many pixels no matter how I resized it. Then it dawned on me to try using the actual thumbnail version of my photo and that worked perfectly. Hope this helps!

Thanks, Andrew. I am really sorry to be such a pest about this.
Just curious- I see that other members have gotten the pic to show up directly in the post. How do I get the pic to do that? Mine shows up (for me) as "attatched image" and you have to click on it.

Sorry for the slow response.
In order to get the image to show up in the post, you have to go through the steps in the second paragraph in my original post. That requires the image to be hosted on a site like PhotoBucket or Image Shack.

Nemophila, How do you use the thumbnail? Are you saving it to your puter and then uploading that size?

Here is a link to a free art program that resizes for the pc and mac. At the bottom right is a download for the free version.

This might help with those who want to resize their pictures.
