Howdy, Howdy, Howdy

We've been here 6 months. Come from Denver, with a 6 year layover in South Dakota ( by Deadwood and Sturgis ), to start a farm. Got work to do on this piece of bare land that only knew cows forever grazing. My four homeschooled kids will holler in unison if asked whether they want to go to Baker Creek Seeds, ME ME ME ME! Too much fun. Even Dad and Mom start bouncing up and down at the idea. Went to the August garden show last year and think it should be named "Festival".

So, here we go- all book smart from years of anticipation- but no experience. Well, some. Surrounded with chickens, guinea fowl, a belgian horse, a goat, and dogs and cats. Plowed up a garden and planned berries and fruit trees. Yee Haw, y'all!!! Wheee...

Happy to have a link to folks with heirloom interests. Pretty rare in the city.

Yeah, it's nice to finally leave sidewalks behind. Maybe you will make it to Mansfield one day. I think you'd like it !

I wonder if you have been to the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum in Walnut Grove? There's one here, too, ya know. Her books are the cause of my homesteading desires.

We were going to name our place Phunny Pharm. I want a donkey to name hotee, ha hee ha hee. (think Don Quixote) Oh, well. I'll spare you the rest of the punny goofiness.

Goofiness is good!...My best friend lives 1 mile as the crow flies from the site of the homestead of L.I.W. near walnut grove, I have been to the mseum and the homestead spot many times. My friend purchased this old Pharm, and there is a very old school house that was moved and taken to his place, years ago, we are currently looking into the history of this school house.
I have no copyright on the Phunny pharm name...LOL
Around here the mail shows up as Pharmer Phil's Phunny Pharm...or most of it!
