Found the solution to the mice problem. They ate tons of my seeds as I was hoping to get seedlings, ate garden seeds in packages, pooped for years wherever they desired, traps didn't work, but the answer has arrived and only a few days with no sign of a mouse or mice. By this time I would have seen their presence. I have to buy a few more for the other rooms, but still I am very happy to see no poop in my kitchen, laundry room, etc.

So far, few days no trails of any mice. It's from Walmart, victorpest.com
1800 800 1819
Model M690/M692
$15
Two in a package, need to put in each room...worth every penny

I found it in housewares are when in TX. Here is CO having problem finding.

It's of course Poison Free.

Be patient as I thought I read it can take up to 2 weeks or so to kick the mouse out and today hubby did see one mouse in laundry room....I am putting my seeds into closed containers so he is cut off from food......

Going to get some more for each room.............

I put one of those in my chicken coop because I have a ton or rats.
It's been 3 weeks and I thinkl they're gone.

Between the sound that makes and the sound my .22 made on 28 of the little buggers, I think they have been thinned out. <grin>

How funny....

Last night my dog heard a mouse...it turned out in my computer room...dog went after mouse...pulled cord of keyboard and a big boom noise...it was my keyboard and now some keys missing....

I was on phone with victor pests today and as soon as the girl came on there was a mouse and she heard my scream....they can take up to 4 weeks to work....I need put one in each room now...and let them just stay....they absolutely love cucumber seeds, basil and avocado!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad it worked, your tribe has thinned out, and now I am waiting for mine to also.....so far I can say I am creating the smartest mice in the USA!! They don't buy into mouse traps even with different foods, they love eating through thick plastic and couldn't care if I am around or not as they are working their thing. I don't want them to die in my walls so no poison. I know this gadget works as my friend has not seen one mouse since she started using them...lucky here, but not me yet.

Thanks for your note.

Off to work my goals for the day to work on my speaking launch professional and writing...to inspire people.....I'm at the AARP age and surely learned what I don't want to depend on in a few yers---social security benefits only....no judgment here, but my own motivation only to move in a different direction.....being patient however....just in the starting mode finally!

I had one or more that chewed holes in sturdy Rubbermaid bins to get at the stored noodles and beans etc.

The are unbelievable strong creatures that refuse to quit. It's not an option for them. I store everything in glass jars I save. Works great, but sometimes I have forgotten and they knew that too.

I read I have to wait 2-4 weeks for the handy plug in to work. I must get more tomorrow.....my keyboard is screwed up as my dog pulled the cord to attack the mouse she never caught as I saw the mouse today in my computer room.

Understand Ace, True Value Hardware, Lowe's, Home Depot may be good places to look for these at. Walmart is iffy as I am having problems finding local, but knew of one store way far from me that has it.

I may have to move from seeds from those plastic tubs and into glass jars after reading your story.

I read on another forum to burn rosemary. So I tried it when I heard a mouse in my wall. I had dried rosemary from an herb store. I cooked it in a pan and carried the pan through the house so the smell was everywhere. Then I sprinkled the cooked rosemary around the house (behind cabinets, in the basement). I have not heard nor seen the mice since...and it has been over a month. I hope this helps:)

Sierra,
Wow. I'll have to try that one too. I cleaned up my "poop" today from them. It is unbelievable. I'm off to buy some rosemary. Yippee. I think probably walking around the house even 2x month or weekly would be sweet for me to do. Maybe it scares the mouse "spirits" away.

Thanks. I will report back!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was almost tempted to back down and get poison to hide behind bookcases where my dog can't get. Now I have one more option.

So excited. Cliff report back too.

I bought the rosemary so going to walk around the house with the tea soon. I can't believe these aggressive mice. Tonight they ate my squash seeds I thought was protected as I was trying to sprout them in newspaper and then in a zip lock bag. Sure they ate the plastic and the 4 seeds.

I couldn't find dried rosemary as if a leaf so maybe it is not a leaf then.

When sprinkling the rosemary behind cabinets are you sprinkling the wet rosemary around?

Update:
So far nothing has totally worked and was hopeful plus excited to avoid using poison. It got out of control and I had to resort to the poison however. It's a choice I didn't want to make but based it on the invasion. A few days later the critters are still around, but they are eating up their "food poison" like crazy. Right now my goal is to get this under control and then hopefully see the other more natural remedies kick in. I felt my efforts were useless and I got tired of cleaning up their mess all over. Maybe I had a tribe move in but they are surely moving out as no evidence of their potty, but evidence of their finishing off their food. I am on my second tray of bait for them. They are sold at Home Depot in 4 packets--$5.99. I used lids of containers for placing the stuff all over behind here and there places. I do live in a county setting but still, they are not welcome here. Gave husband honor of throwing out one dead baby mouse that caught in a trap that has been around for ever too. He's the dumb mouse of the litter as the traps never worked for others.

The sound thing worked in our coop.
I haven't seen any rats or mice or signs of rats or mice.

Are you putting the sound thing in every room at Coop? I have heard they work, but I have not seen results, but don't have the sound in each room either. I know the mice are having a party eating underneath the sink as I just looked last night and it was gone, tonight looked it's gone after fill up.

Glad it is working for you. Are those 4 to a packet? I bought the big ones 2 in package.

Carol, I am happy for you that this poison is working. Once they are all gone, you'll have to figure out where they are coming in and block their enterance, and maybe put some of the non poison stuff around the outside of the house. That might just stop them from coming in, in the fall. Good luck!

The important thing is to find out where they are coming in at,at one time they came in at my dryer hose, on the outside of the house, I fixed that, haven't had any since.Good luck!

They get under the sink, into my laundry room, computer room, living room and that's about all I know of. Oh bedrooms too. They just think they own the house bottom line. They are even pooping the color of the stuff they are eating. I can't believe in less than a week I am on my 3rd large box. They come 4 in a package. They seem to gobble it all up under sink. My husband blames the country area as one way they get in, another me leaving door opened, but I blame it too on gaps, them possibly coming through from sunroom into laundry room via pipes. Hubby thinks I am wrong.

Anyway, I am going to "keep keeping on" till I can see we are rid of the problem. I still have the sonic sound but so far nothing keeping out of here.

I'll keep you all posted. Thanks for information. I don't want to keep this poison around all the time. I do have a dog, but she doesn't eat anything frm the floor, outside most of the time by her choice and no kids here. I've got the "caps from containers" on counters, in laundry room or wherever I can put it joyfully.

Wow, I must have several animals running around here but coming ot when I am sleeping. They surely aggrevate my dog and she lets them know it too.

Chancing my veggies outside tonight in their containers still and not planted.

Carol, it's possible that the sound from the gadgets is being blocked by cabinets, etc. enough that the mice aren't bothered enough to leave. You may also be getting fresh invasions daily from outside.
I forgot to mention that I've had great success with a live trap - it's a rectangular metal box that is put along the wall where they run. They go in and can't get out. It's possible to catch several at once. No need to bait it, but have found that a few peanuts inside do tend to attract more. I use this every fall when the critters most like to come inside. You can drive a few miles away and dump them or...:) You'd probably want several now to put in various rooms. Not cheap, but works year after year. It's called the "Tin Cat".

Don't sweat the poison. Sometimes, we just have to do what is needed.

Dandeloin,
Thanks but right now can't bear the thought of keeping a live one here. Other day got our first catch: a small baby mouse in the laundry room, tonight another one through the same trap so this means two finally got caught using my old fashioned traps that never worked before. Tonight one was dropping dead in our kitchen. Another baby. Maybe the mother gave birth and left her mice for our killing pleasures. I am on my third large box of poison. I can't believe they are so hungry in our house. I suppose they just can't eat glass bottles which many of our stuff are stored in; those thick plastic tubs from lettuces don't seem to appeal to their chewing delight as t hey are not touching them with the seeds in there.

Every day I look for these critters particularly how much they ate t he night before. They surely are hitting under the sink very heavily.

If the critter is dead I can get the plastic bag going but if still alive that is my husband's job.

Keeping you and the rest of famly here advised of latest developments.

I'm beyond sweating the poison and nice to not have to keep cleaning up after them. They are pooping the blue color of the poison now too. Thanks Dandeloin.

Carolg, we had mice problems when we first moved here (and had cats, too). I bought a couple cans of expanding foam sealant and went around the outside of the house and filled every crack in the foundation that I could find. Haven't seen one since ... that was about 4 or 5 years ago.

Hope that you get rid of all the varmints.

Sandbar,
Thanks. I will pass this tip onto hubby. He said that we had a gap in our sunroom and closed it up. However, the mice were probably here before and never left this nice home until the poison arrived. They are all gone at this point. I can't believe I have not had to look for or clean up any poop. Thanks for thinking of sharing with me. It's great learning as we all grow together like plants.

My tomatoes/cukes/squash/peppers are outside hardening and spent a whole night, finally, getting used to the weather and survived. I plan on planting by 30th outdoor plants per the Farmer's Almanac starting with the above ground millions of plants to this home gardener, turning farmer.
