Chinese hyacinth bean

I'd like to try growing Chinese hyacinth beans but the catalog says to pick small because old pods may be poisonous. Has anyone grown these beans to eat and if so, at what size dig you pick them?

I'm growing them this yr too. Got them in a seed trade with little info. I think I'll let them grow and watch and see, lol. I mostly wanted the flowers anyway.
