I am growing Tondo Scuro di Piacenza squash from B.C. First time this year. They are doing good and looks like they will be very prolific.
It is a round zucchini type. I think these would be really good for stuffing, cut the tops off, clean out the seeds and stuff them and maybe bake them.
Any of you chefs out ther have any suggestions

Just want to let everybody know I had my first one today. All I did was just bread it with some seasoned bread crumbs and fried it. The flavor is oh so good. It is definately a keeper for me I will be growing these again next year.
Thank you Jerry for putting this one in your catalog.
I will be saving seed so if anyone wants to try them just let me know and dont worry about purity because this is the only summer squash I am growing this year.

BOSTON - We like zuke dredged in flower & fried in peanut oil. we fix it in place of fried potato [that i can't have due to being diabetic]...it is sooo good.
you can brown ground beef mix w/chopped toms & onions & stuff your squash then cover w/spagetti sauce & parm. cheese & bake for 20-30 min @ 350.....also good...

Yummy. How big are they around?
We just had our first first zucchini of the year (late, 'cause we just moved here). We made pancakes (the Parmesan recipe), 'cause that's the kids' favorite. So happy to finally be eating out of the garden!! :)
Whoops, I just realized how OLD this thread is..... haha
