An email is going around warning of a potential problem coming out of New Orleans. All the trees blown down in the hurricane were shredded and turned to wood mulch to be sold for cheap. Why so cheap? Formosan termites :eek: . Yes, the kind for which there is no cure. So, be aware of the origin of your wood mulch, just in case. Hope it's not true.

I would suspect, but of course do not know, that if one lives more than a short distance from New Orleans, there is little to worry about. The cost of gasoline for transportation quickly eats up any hope for profit from selling the mulch...
