Question about Zones

I've looked at the zone maps and some just say Zone 6 for my area and others will say Zone 6A and 6B. How do you know exactly where your property sits or does it really matter?

Usually, the difference amounts to a couple of degrees, not too much. 'Course, that might make a difference as to whether you get hit by a late frost or not. Personally, I don't pay much attention to the letters.
