Hey, just wanted to say thanks for the great tomato seed I received from BC this year. The German Johnson tomato produced a whopper (just under 2 pounds) that finished second at our local fall fair. Someone else beat me by 5 grams but I was still very excited just to be able to grow something that big. I like to think that it was at least partially my gardening skill , but lets face it the seed has lots to do with it too. Thanks again BC

Snaki,
Congratulations on your win. Even though you took 2nd place, that's still a good sized tomato. Did you get pics?

Snaki,
Way to go!
Perhaps next year, cut the stem a little longer?

Thanks guys, unfortunately I didn't get any pics before I dropped it off and when I went back to pick it up it had already been "cleaned up", so I didn't even get to take it home (I hope it at least went to the food bank). It was kind of bi-lobed but had smooth skin and no cracking so it looked impressive.
The good news is that I still have some BC seed that produced this giant so will give 'er a go again next year (and I will leave as much stem on!:D)
