Then again, when someone DOES notice, I rather wish they hadn't. Ever notice that every time you hit your head on a hanging planter, there's ALWAYS an audience? :o

I am glad SOMEONE noticed, as such an important and monumentus event should not be taken lightly... It is truly a glorious day, and should be celebrated by one and all, for the milestone that it is, and should, in my most humble opinion be forever enshrined and commemorated annually with a festival in honor of the person who was the 1000th member!

Oh wait, that would be . . . ME! :D

LoreD, I din't mean to offend. :( I was just taking the opportunity to rib HOD a little, as HE definitely noticed! :D Sometimes, the generally irreverent fun tends to be a bit contagious around here, and it's all good. :cool:

Yes, I agree that 1000 members is an important milestone, although I can't help but wonder how many are still active? I'm sure people will wander in and out from time to time, so long as they wander back in again later.

Hey Guys; On the thread "where do you live"there are only 266 entry's so it is a moot point about the 1000 members.And since only about 50 or so people post on a regular basis it really has no bearing.

Zebraman... SSSSSSSSHHHHHH! You'll cause more tears if you take away his important accomplishment. We spent many a night and day waiting and watching for that coveted 1000th member STATUS. Besides, I didn't put where I live on that thread due to my location being prominently displayed in my profile. Maybe it will look like more if I get redundant. Also, AndrewK posted several welcome new member greetings there. Did you actually count? Well, didja? I noticed that lots of people registered and never even posted. What is that?

Oops, I think I offended you Zebraman. Sorry. No, all I meant was that in that thread, "where do you live", not all the posts are indicative of a member tally mark. Several members posted there more than once, and moderators welcome people there, and so I find that 267 (now) number to be inaccurate for counting who posts regularly. Also, I think I was unclear as to where I saw members registed but never posting, that's in "members" up there in pink on the toolbar.
