Hello,

I was just wondering if any of our missouri friends are going to be at the Historic German Maifest this weekend in Hermann, MO.

We will be setup there Sunday. It sounds fun.

Anybody know when the festival is for 2006? I'd like to plan ahead a little this year and maybe work it into my schedule.

Just a note...

I noticed that Hermann was named the most beautiful Missouri town by Rural Missouri magazine today.

I sure think it is lovely.

I have to tell you, I was born there and lived there for 30 years. As a child the Maifest was a picnic held at the end of school We went to the park and had pink lemonade and knockwurst for lunch, then played games. I am a transplant anywhere else. My best memories are there. The people are great. Food is German and good. Check it out!!

I haven't visited or even been through Hermann, but from my finite experience, I think the most beautiful Missouri town is Creighton. Have you ever been there?

my favorite place in herrman...is the herman hoff winery....has anyone tasted their apricot honey dessert wine....??
I am not one to regularly appreciate wine( or other adult beverage) but we did some tasting when we were there... and it was way to yummy!

Hi everone - I am a new member, found you guys by accident - & how cool that you guys are in Missouri too! We will probably be going to Maifest in Herrman, we were there last Sept. & had a lovely time, but haven't been to the festival, but would love to go. We will stop by & say hi.

Sorry I'm so slow on replying. The Maifest is ALWAYS the third weekend in May. This weekend is the Wurstfest. Stop by "The Barrell" former known as "The Concert Hall Bar and Barrell". My daughter Theresa will be cooking there. May 19 and 20th is the date.

Are you referring to Creighton, or to the Hermann Maifest?
