GENETICALLY ENGINEERED CORN PRODUCING HERBICIDES IN YOUR GUT?

A widely cultivated variety of genetically engineered corn may be slowly poisoning American consumers. Dupont's Pioneer Liberty Link corn was bioengineered to withstand high levels of the toxic herbicide glufosinate. Enzymes in the plant actually break down the herbicide, making it less toxic to the plant, thereby allowing farmers to apply higher levels of herbicides to the plant and surrounding weeds. Scientists are now finding that enzymes in the human gut are likely "reactivating" the herbicide within our bodies. A recent study on rats found that 10% of the chemicals were reconverted back to the toxic herbicide within the digestive tract of the animal. Another study on goats found a full 30% of the herbicide was rebuilt in the gut. Glufosinate is known to cause nerve damage and is a likely endocrine disruptor. Scientists are also concerned that by reactivating the toxic chemical in the digestive tract, it is likely killing off beneficial bacteria necessary for healthy digestion.

I truly believe this. The interesting thing to note is the incline of related challenges within the animal kingdom that are being ignored. Wildlife and domestic animals. just within the last several years with increase not only gm foods but pesticides there are increases in wildlife that have gone as far to effect a species to eliminate external genetalia and even altering already established bone structures. Definitely can happen since all blood cells within the body are replaced within a 4 months period of time; that is what fuels the body.

So what are you personally doing about it?
I know that SW MI is Pioneer country. What about your area? What about all those vineyard and orchards in your neck of the woods?

We all need to consider instead of reaching for medication or the doctor or charcoal (they do all have there place. . . but less frequent than we rely on them) try reaching for non-gm pestiside free fresh picked produce. Hard to top it. . . except maybe the tree of life.

And just imagine what all the antibioitcs fed to livestock do to the people who then consume the meat from those animals.

And this is why it pays to grow your own! What are they doing to us?

They not only give them antibiotics but hormones to make them grow bigger and fatter.
