If these celebrities really wanted to help, they would chip in, buy the property and put in a "land trust". How dumb are these people?

I was just thinking that myself. If she wants to help now, let her cele-braty status get the owners of a few local buildings let them do rooftop container gardening. Get local places to donate soil and big tubs or garbage cans that can be cut to the right size and they can still garden and supliment their food. If someone wants to do something like that and they have the name power to get people to do stuff there is always a way. Maybe not a conventional one, but there is a way.

Hey Flowerpower;The Owner had already agreed to offer the land to a company for this purpose for the 14million asking price,however NOT while this Whack Job was trespassing on his land.This is why she was arrested because when the owner gave in She still wasn't about to give up the publicity stunt.Like she really cares about the Ghetto!

There are alot of renters in my area who would like to have a garden but can't. What we need here is plots they can rent out for a season. There are some places like that in Staten Island. But there was alot of vandalism to the plots. Some people even had their veggies stolen.

I live just an hour or so from that whole scene. It was dominating the news stories for a few days. ho-hum, can we move on now? Are we concerned about the farmers and the land or are we concerned about Daryl Hannah's camera time? :confused:

I don't see any celebrities stepping up to say "come to Beverly Hills or Hollywood and we'll give you acres there to farm." Or how about the fact that they probably own acres of land themselves and could really do something to "help" w/that.

hi flower i do not now about gardening in s.i. i mite find some of my relatives and freinds in the ground if you now what i mean :p :D i wish she could do that i would be in heaven you got to see how big the watermelon tomatoe plants chad gave me i have the italian flag growing italian sweet greatwhite and watermelon tomatoes my landlord let me clean the huge mess in the backyard and this week end iam re building the cage i made for the veggie garden :)
