I just wanted to gloat :-) This is my first year with my "own" garden and I'm having so much fun! I love being able to eat broccoli, spinach, lettuce, radishes, and now peas that I grew from seed. It's such a feeling of accomplishment... and I love being able to share fresh organic food with my neighbors and labmates. I even like learning what the weeds and pests are (I just learned what Colorado Potato Beetles look like, and was able to teach the person with a garden right next to mine how to ID their eggs). I've been taking photos in the same places every week, and it's amazing how much my plants have taken off in the past 3 weeks!

I know, it's addictive, isn't it ocelot!!! I love growing flowers, but food items are just so-so-so---I don't know, growing food is cool! The flavor is outstanding, it's so much fresher, more vitamins are retained, and there is less spoilage.

I haven't gotten to eat anything from my garden yet, but I am waiting, not too patiently, but waiting. I got back from my trip. I was only gone a couple of days and went right out to my garden. It's just amazing how much it has grown with the heat and rain since Thur!!!. I have some yellow squash about 3 inches long. They are not long for this world!!
