Not an event, really, but just a heads up if you happen to be near Rappahannock County, Virginia... Waterpenny Farm in Sperryville has a great farm stand of organic veggies, open every day but Sunday. If you're away from home and need provisions, they're terrific. We go for stuff that we either didn't grow (swiss chard) or don't have yet (gynormous onions with leek style ramps). It's a family farm, but they have interns ! I am very envious.... what I really want is minions, but I'd settle for an intern or two!

Interns would just be a fancy term for farm workers.

Except that the interns get college credits, and better living quarters, and are paid even less that farm workers as a result!
