Thought about setting up a booth and selling some odds and ins. Got some garlic, vining spinach, peppers, tomatoes, herbs rooted, tie-die, organic eggs, etc. But I may not....I may just show up as a consumer. None-the-less I am pretty sure i will be there.
Anyone else???

I'll be there. My mom and I already have a wish list going for the seed store. We usually go Sunday afternoon but had to go on Monday to the spring one because dh and I were gone to a wedding in KC over the weekend.

I hope to be there. Have made it to the last three. Enjoyed them all, but like the ones in the spring the best. I buy several young perennials and herbs then. I always look forward to getting something new for my gardens. I also enjoy listening to the guest speakers.

Summer, you mean, not fall. It's possible, since I live in SW Missouri.
Who will be in the gospel music section? There are a lot of good Southern gospel groups in out area.

I don't think I've ever had it before. Can I grow them outside and let them just go wild?

Yep. Mine are seemingly native. They grow all over a couple of acres next to my house. You can look them up under passion flower; I don't know how far north they will be hardy. They're nice to look at, regardless of being good eating. It is a vine with fascinating purple flowers.

Cool. I have 10 acres, so I can find somewhere for them.
I like having varrying flowers and fruit around.

Cliff, Here's another discussion where I asked about Passion Fruit. Oddly enough, it had to do with the Festival as well. Deja Vu, :)

Cliff,
If you do not find any then let me know. I believe I still have some seed left. (tricky germinator though.) Not sure if it is a light germinator or what. does have a thick shell so scarifying seems like a needy thing.
Anyway, let me know.

Oh I'm just getting ideas about stuff. I don't have probems sleeping or anything, but I like to have things around that helps or cures things. They might be cool to have growing on a fence somewhere.

Be careful, if you plan to attend. I drove up for the spring festival and liked the place so much that I bought twenty acres south of town. It's really quite a show!

I've been once before, and I am really, really bummed that I can't make it this year. It sounds like it has grown quite a bit since last time. I enjoyed everything about it except not getting to meet Jere in person - got within a few feet, but people crowd around him like white on rice... busy guy... I was so impressed at the quality of the vegetables for sale there, not to mention the variety. Lots of interesting characters to meet, too. Yep, really bummed. If you can possibly make it, you should.

After I wrote that last post, I realized just how bad I wanted to go. So I rearranged my schedule so I could make it... on Saturday... back to the drawing board...

Hey CreationGroans;Try running the fruit and seeds through a juicer, the small blades in the basket scarify the seeds just right and they will sprout like weeds.-

Well first and foremost it was HOT. Attendance was a bit low (hopefully due to the heat) but it went smoothly and most people seemed to have a good time. Most of the vendors I spoke with indicated they did pretty well considering the small turnout (it wasnt THAT small--I'm guessing [unoficially] maybe 1500 total or so.) The music was good, we had large tents to mitigate the heat.Lots of networking and lively discussion.
I was surprised at how little produce there was....guess mine isn't the only garden suffering this summer

It WAS hot. Unlike the spring show, I actually hung around all day, and listened to the first three speakers, in a relatively cool building. Really enjoyed Merlyn Neidens, the garlic guy.
It did seem as if the turnout was much smaller than the spring show.

hot hot hot, the unofficial numbers i got for sunday was 600.,monday, a lot of venders didn't come (poor sports) we stayed till 3, and i just know mostb folks stayed away due to heat,100degrees doesnt engender browsing outdoors in the sun....if you made it , im the soapy lady with the baby :D
it was nice to meet folks who believe in heirlooms and organics as passionately ( and some even more so) as we do :D
come spring we will be back , and with of course the wonderfull soaps and lotions , teas and potions as well as bedding herbs, plants houseplants and serenity gardens wow, that sounds like an advert, its not , just letting you all know we will be back :D
oh , and if anyone was there and bought some of those organic grapes, weren't they wonderfull!!!!
