Love your album, this is my first year where I intensively am trying to grow melons, and have hope! Cow manure is a melon's best friend. Love the wagon full of melons. Crossing my fingers I get something similar!

I love your pictures in your album. My amish cantalopes are slowly growing. It has been a cool summer for here, but they are coming along well.

That was last years pictures-my neighbors and I have double planted this year. I also start too early but what th heck, we have to try and beat that summer heat and have melons ready for the 4 th of July, sometimes it works and sometimes it dont. Melons are finiky in that they may do well, or not well at all. My favorite cant fail me melon is Blacktail Mountain, medium size red and super sweet and super early. It s never let me down--yet.

Wow, I love your album - are these pictures current or last years harvest? I am growing moon & stars melons too!!! I planted them back on the 10th of March and they are popping up nicely, although I thought I may have planted a little early. I also planted my pole beans at the same time and they are really growing (Rattlesnake, Christmas Lima & Asian Red Asparagus Long bean). Yes, the weather is great right now and I am anxious to see what will grow well for me. I am going out to visit Cooper Farms tomorrow and look at their set up (they are very close to us).
