Ta da! Houston, we have goat kids! Okay, so I actually need to 'fess now and say that they were born last week... I'm bottle feeding the little rascals, which pretty much takes up my entire day; thus the reason for my absence from here! The birth was quick and easy (well, from my point of view; the mama goat may have a different opinion!) and we got twin doelings!! One is a solid brown, with a white star on her forehead, and the other is a Hershey brown color with gray spots all over her. At this point, I'm planning on keeping them both, but we'll see; I still have two more does yet to kid. 'Tis so restricting, only being able to keep 9 milking does (Oregon law doesn't allow anymore). Makes ya' really think about which ones to keep.

HUM so ya gonna make me sweat more. EEp today would be a good day to do it. We had TORNADO WARNINGS all last night . Scared me good. My power came back on at almost three thirty next day. Ya sure you dont need seeds :O() OMG So many seed . I am ordering a BINGO BEAN. Look it up its so pretty and a CHYSTAL APPLE cucumber seeds . sue

Still no goat babies yet. Ivy is due tomorrow, but she seems perfectly content to stay pregnant. (!?) So who knows when she'll pop... This morning was so crazy; we ordered some meat chicks along with some friends, and we had them shipped to our house. The problem was that the total amount of chicks was 375!! We learned that you CAN'T fit 375 chicks into a 4'x4' brooder box. Ugh...

Have you started putting stuff in your garden yet?

sigh~~~ sue has to dig some more tomorrow. One set of seeds washed away with rain. Another area I have yet to redig yet. I got to shovels want to help ? SUE

YAY! I am so excited! Certain family members think I'm crazy now; I'm hopping up and down over SQUASH seeds!! LOL.

Right now, I still just have the first two goat kids. My next goat, Ivy, is due in 17 days, and WOW is she waddling around and acting grumpy! What's even funnier though, is my other doe named 'Capri', who isn't due until May 9th. I seriously think that she's going to have quadruplets this year. The poor thing is so fat with babies that it doesn't seem possible! I'll let you know when I've got more baby goats runnin' around, and maybe I'll try to get some pics on here...
