Hi compatriot! What brings you to Ohio? I decided to move up here by my daughter and her family after Katrina made my home beach front property in Mississippi (I lived 3 miles from the beach). That would have been nice in other circumstances but the beach was in my home- 4 feet up the walls. Getting too old to fight those storms any more- let the younger people do it.

I love it here- snow and all! This is the 1st full winter I spent up here and it was the most beautiful sight with all that snow. I don't mind being house bound during the winter. I have lots to do inside - knitting, sewing, etc. Now that I've retired (semi) I am having a ball not having to do anything by anyone elses time table except for the 2 days a month that I do work. If I have to eat beans for the rest of my life to keep from working I'll gladly do so!!
