I also tried the early G as well as the 'standard' and wasn't nearly as impressed with it... The 'standard' set and produced ripe fruit before the early........ (go figure) ................ And not to forget, 'my guy', he is an elderly man I met through his wife that volunteered with me at our grade school............... He supplements their income by selling plants and he grows some outstanding plants......... I am a firm believer in supporting 'the little guy' and I love to listen to him tell about his life (his cousin is James Garner and they worked as extras in quite a few of his movies) So, it's more than just the plants........ They are great people

OK, it looks like 3 parts ..........

At least in my garden, I have never had an issue with them 'failing' me.... Last yr was an AWFUL garden yr (and I had surgery at the start of gardening season) It was still the best in my garden, I looked for pictures but think I have them on a different hard drive..... The plants are very 'sturdy' and in a good yr have topped 7' . Which means I have to break out my ladder to get to the top ..( I 'tend to' my polants, but don't 'work' at having 'monsters', I can only work up just so many, lol).... The one thing I did learn about the goliath, it seems more than others.........When I think it's 'ripe', I need to 'leave it' a couple more days, they are much better if I have patience ..............

Since ppl tend to 'get in trouble' for goin' OT (and I am one of the worst 'offenders' ) I thought I'd just jot a quick note about one of my 'go to' maters ......... It was one of the first I planted after moving here (10 yrs ago, where I lived for many yrs before, maters were a source of heart break).............. I'm gonna break this message into 2 parts, it tells me I used too many 'characters'............ I type as I talk, too much.......... BUT, I LIKE to talk, and I'm not gonna 'waste' my typin'

Jeff thanks for the information you passed along to me on Ewing. I was able to buy most of what I needed to do some upgrading. They were out of a couple of things but I will try again with them next week. Their prices were good also!

Hey Senior, I saw a post of yours with pic of hortonova and would like to know how did that work with your tomatos? Thinking about getting some myself.

Well, I did not do so well with my GRS or my Itialian Pear tomato seeds....I can try again next growing season I guess. I am a little sad about messing up my seedlings but there is always next time. How are you doing?
