All those grss seeds, I left in there, I put them on the first time. they were listed as edible seeded, but only sand dropseed and indian ricegrass seems truly edible to me, those two are mor elike grains. I think there was some dropseed still on the train. The blue rye, and others do have bigger seed then most grasses. But not really like a grain. atleast imo. as far as maters, Im still figuring that out. All those I put in the train, I got from someone with he idea I should spread them in the wild. But theres just not enough water here for that. So if you all want a little bit for your garden, and to spread in the wild somewhere that would be great. I have much much more of those if anyone wants them. but with maters, none of mine did good this year, I will be trialing atleast 30 next year,. maybe much more. I have 100 or so to try. I will let you know next year, what likes it here. If one exists I will find it. LOL.

Good luck finding maters that grow well here SS, I haven't yet, although you're at lower altitude than I am..... Although I keep trying. E. Swift, you're next for the train- it's got way cool stuff on it, but I need you to PM me your address!!! I don't have it anymore- sorry.

Actually, if you get the tomatoes past the last frost, they do well, they JUST DON'T RIPEN IN TIME! aaugh- I get so many green tomatoes after the first killer frost in late september, I've made my own recipe for green tomato green chili enchilada sauce (good, but I'd rather have ripe tomatoes in August. wild dreams, wild dreams) I've tried the siberian tomatoes, most of the short season tomatoes, and I usually only get a few ripe cherry tom's. Sigh. I guess I need hubby to build me a greenhouse.
