I nibble on mine when I walk through the garden. It's funny but when I sampled them at the nursery, I thought the taste was pretty good but now I can't stand more than a leaf or two. Big waste in my garden and unfortunately I let it go to seed last year and its everywhere. Not bad as a ground cover maybe.

Well, get on out there and eat a leaf!

OK. On the other hand, if you were to eat a collard leaf raw, you probably wouldn't write home to Ma about IT, either, right?

Why??
You eat collards raw? Cool. What variety? Aren't they tough?

I am growing Malibar for the first time this year and really like it. I have found it is best eaten raw in salads. It is very heat tolerant which with the kind of year I have had is a real good thing. I am going to save the seeds and plant some again next year.
