I'm trying to convince myself that, with seeds for 29 different varieties of tomatoes and not enough space to grow them all, I really don't need to buy any more.
I'm feeling unconvinced. and I really want to try Vorlon tomatoes. |

Melody, don't beat your head against the wall, just get out there and tear up some lawn!
![]() I want to go on the record too: I CAN'T WAIT FOR MY BAKER CREEK CATALOG! The very last thing in the world I need is more tomato seeds, but I never let that stop me. |

Reisetomate and Traveler are totally different. Traveler is an Arkansas variety (also called Arkansas Traveler); Reisetomate is a German variety that look like little grapes.
Also, Vorlon is not a Bulgarian variety. It comes from a cross between Cherokee Purple and Pruden's Purple.

WU, somewhere in the back of my old memory there's a French tomato that translates as "Voyager" and has a kind of lumpy arrangement of self-contained seed locules that makes it look like monkey bread and separates when pulled apart like monkey bread. Do you recall that? Or maybe I'm hallucinating LOL.
Anyway, I think some faulty translations from French to English rendered it "Traveler" rather than "Voyager" and maybe that's how it got confused with Reisentomate (if I'm spelling that right?). You're right about Traveler though. Great Arkansas University tomato! Bradley (it's granddaddy) is too. Traveler 76 is another. Looking forward to reading you listings in SSE Yearbook. GGG

Christian Lemaire's research on Reisetomate/Voyage has long indicated that it originally came to Germany from Guatemala.
