Rose and Aziza have been fostered for the moment. Genny Gen is trying to get them to New York to give them a forever home. There are still seven at Carols that need to be adopted or fostered asap or they will be removed from her. For the moment ....for the MOMENT....... Rose and Zizi are safe. I will post the latest poster on them. There are still two dogs and a cat at Lorna's house, but they can only get attention briefly when they are fed each day. They are by themselves except for the brief visits Lorna's sister can make to check on Lorna. She stays at Lorna's house, then.
NOTE: When sending money to Carol, please mark it as "Gift" if sending check or money order (I say gift, belated birthday, etc) because the town is trying to take the dogs and fine her for running a kennel. They say if she receives money earmarked for them, she is running a professional kennel and they are trying to stop her. They want all the dogs that come through the animal shelter to go to the next town over, where most of them are put down. Carol has taken enormous risks to rescue these dogs and find the temp foster situation for Rose and Zizi. She is trying to get all the dogs spayed and neutered and care for them until she can get them into forever homes. She started with 15 and is down to 7 at her house, plus the two "extended family" ones that are waiting for enough to be raised to get them to Genny. Funds to transport those can go directly to the fund on the poster I will post next. At this point, it looks like someone may have to take a train out to Arizona, rent a van and drive them back, because Rose can only fly in a custom made crate that could cost $800 or more (simply because she is a pitbull).

I sent a small check (enough for a bag of dog food), I can't afford more until school starts and I go back to work. I'll send some more then. I marked the check gift, as you instructed.

A beautiful tribute for a beautiful lady. Thanks for letting everyone know and for the efforts you- and the others- have taken to finding forever homes for her fur babies. Rest in Peace Margez.
