i know we send seeds and companionship to each other.
we reach out across the world via this forum and electronic medium... do we really know where all our idig buddies are? could we use jbest map or something similar? to trade with our idig neighbors? like me here in texas? i know there are 7-10 members or more that live here. if member a puts out a distress call i know that they are an hour away or so? and there are 2-3 buddies within an hour or two as well? or just to make a social call if desired? trade labor, companionship .....time....... maybe like a buddy outreach program? or am i up waaaaayyyyy to early this am? lol

Red,
i think it is a great idea. I am minutes from Gerry. I hope he knows he can call me if he needs me. I think Tweed and Pruden's Purple aren't too far, TennOC I think is pretty close as well. Herbgirl is not far from my in-laws and I would help her out in a heart beat.

Google maps allows collaboration. I'll make one and post a link.

Moonlily recently sent me two Arkansas stones for sharpening knives, a surprise gift. Silverseeds sent me quite a lot of local native seeds, plus a huge amount of Russin Gulag kale. (Not sure how far away he lives from here, maybe a hundred miles or so.) And, YES, Lablers and I have a date to meet each other (for the first time) in Albuquerque. We plan to pig out at a Chinese buffet.

I enjoy going to BC in the Spring and meeting idiggers that live close.

We aren't super close to BC, but we hope to make it down that way sometime in the near future.

What a great idea Red. I know there are a couple in my area but I haven't met them or been in touch much. I'd love to meet up with some fellow IDiggers so if anyone is in western KY, PM me
I'm new to this area and looking to make some buddies.

Jbest has a sticky of idigger locations in the general gardening section. It is neat to see where we all live.
