here's a goofy question?
i have several hundred bags of coarse organics now throughout the orchard. covered quite a bit of it with manure.fresh. think it will help break in the coarse bulky stuff while it rots in?

you bet!
The nitrogen form the fresh manure will help break down the new coarse stuff and all the bugs and fungus will help too. When i make a full on compost pile with 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch sticks air holes and fresh chicken manure it will cook down to a 2 inch pile from an over 4 foot tall Pile! All the sticks get broken down with everything else. Should be all nice to work into the soil in about 3-5 months.
