I didn't know what it was, so googled it ... found this link:
http://www.southernexposure.com/Merc...ory_Code=GCORN And on here, there's Carolina Gourdseed Corn, about a third of the way down: http://virtual.clemson.edu/groups/seed/heirloom.htm One of the links said it is susceptible to "smut;" sounds like maybe a candidate for huitacochle!
