The original draft of the Anti-Klan Act of 1871 -- passed at the urging of Republican president Ulysses S. Grant -- made it a federal felony to "deprive any citizen of the United States of any arms or weapons he may have in his house or possession for the defense of his person, family, or property." This section was deleted from the final bill only because it was deemed both beyond Congress' authority and superfluous, inasmuch as the rights of citizenship included the right to bear arms.

Under authority of the Anti-Klan Act, President Grant deployed the U.S. military to destroy the Klan, and pretty nearly completed the job.

But the Klan had a few resurgences in the early and mid-20th century. Curiously, wherever the Klan became a political force, gun control laws would suddenly appear on the books.

No one is trying to stop anyone from voting if they are a legal citizen of that precinct. In fact, it appears they voted a lot.

LEAKED STRATFOR EMAILS: Democrats Manipulated The 2008 Election Results

John McCain's 2008 campaign staff allegedly had evidence that Democrats stuffed ballot boxes in Pennsylvania and Ohio on election night, but McCain chose not to pursue voter fraud, according to internal Stratfor emails published by WikiLeaks.

In an email sent on November 7, 2008, and titled " Insight - The Dems & Dirty Tricks ** Internal Use Only - Pls Do Not Forward **," Stratfor vice president of intelligence Fred Burton wrote:

1) The black Dems were caught stuffing the ballot boxes in Philly and Ohio as reported the night of the election and Sen. McCain chose not to fight. The matter is not dead inside the party. It now becomes a matter of sequence now as to how and when to "out".

In an email sent two days earlier and titled "Insight - McCain #5 ** internal use only - Pls do not forward **," Burton wrote:

After discussions with his inner circle, which explains the delay in his speech, McCain decided not to pursue the voter fraud in PA and Ohio, despite his staff's desire to make it an issue. He said no. Staff felt they could get a federal injunction to stop the process. McCain felt the crowds assembled in support of Obama and such would be detrimental to our country and it would do our nation no good for this to drag out like last go around, coupled with the possibility of domestic violence.

Democrats pick & chose which rights to fight for or against.
Old honest Abe was the first republican president & the south hated Republicans for 100 years for freeing the slaves. The KKK was Democrat from the Git go . A Democrat Grand dragon retired last year or the year before after a life time in congress as a democrat .

If inter city blacks were allowed to own guns they would clean up the areas they live in.
Crime has dropped in other areas when gun laws permit people to deal with there crime problems. I think blacks would do the same but then Democrats do pick & chose who should be allowed freedom & who should not . Democrats control most big cities & look at the mess they have created.

In the early 1940s, a politically ambitious butcher from West Virginia named Bob Byrd recruited 150 of his friends and associates to form a chapter of the Ku Klux Klan. After Byrd had collected the $10 joining fee and $3 charge for a robe and hood from every applicant, the "Grand Dragon" for the mid-Atlantic states came down to tiny Crab Orchard, W.Va., to officially organize the chapter.

As Byrd recalls now, the Klan official, Joel L. Baskin of Arlington, Va., was so impressed with the young Byrd's organizational skills that he urged him to go into politics. "The country needs young men like you in the leadership of the nation," Baskin said.

BTW.. In the south WHITES as well as BLACKS were killed by the KKK for being REPUBLICAN'S .. it was common to see a black man AND a white man hanging from the same tree IF they were found out to be REPUBLICAN'S...

I don't think Byrd could recall anything now that he's been dead for quite a while. He discussed that part of his young life many times...are you saying people can't change in sixty years?

don't think that anyone said people can't change.. HOWEVER.. the DEMOCRATS are the ones who keep PRETENDING they were ALWAYS for the BLACK man.. freeing the slaves and the REPUBLICAN'S are and always trying to suppress them.. THAT would be the point..
