Comfrey is a long used since ancient times herb. A poultice is recommended for bruising and sprains or bone breaks for pain relief to assist with healing. Although currently not recommended for internal use or open skin issues, wonderful for rashes and skin conditions. Comfrey is an excellent animal feed being about 20% protein with vitamins and minerals. It makes a lovely salve or medicinal oil. Cultivated Bocking 14 is the variety, sought after for attracting bees to pollinate the rest of your garden and trees. It has lovely purple bell shaped flowers, bright green tropical looking leaves and does not seed. It will not spread and can grow up to five feet tall and several feet wide. I will have these available for a short time and did check with the other seller on here who is done with his digging. Stubone was so nice to let me know when I wrote him.
I am offering these sprouted also, which means you can plant them upon receipt. I mist them several times a day and it takes a couple weeks to sprout. If they dry out, you can lose them. For those who want it easy, I have these ready. $2 each sprouted, Comfrey sprouties with a minimum of 6, shipping of $6 priority mail with delivery confirm. Always a bonus in every box. These are baby plants...so cute! They grow very fast!So if you prefer Roots only and not sprouted, I will offer them for the same price as Stubone, a dozen freshly dug roots only for $10 plus Shipping of $6 priority mail including delivery confirm. Sprouting instructions: place on a thin layer of damp soil, mist them and cover with paper toweling then mist that til pretty wet. Then cover your container with saran or a cover...keep moist and it will take a few weeks to see a sprouted plant. Misting several times a day is recommended in any warm weather or indoor starting. These Comfrey Roots are being harvested and divided from 3 yr old mature Comfrey plants. You can email me or pm me or write on this page. romysbaskets@hotmail.com Thanks so much! ![]() ![]()

Romy,
My good friend (on a different plant forum) told me about your comfrey offering. I realize this is an older post, but do you have any comfrey currently available? The ducks ate all of mine - and if anyone has a problem with comfrey, get a duck! |

Junkman, if you want to supply comfrey, feel free to post an offering. I could supply a thousand also which is why I list them each year when the other seller is done.
