I'm looking to sell my new simple cheap, durable chicken aprons and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a web host that offers decently priced webstores? I know a bit of HTML designing but not a lot. Of course I'm aware of the regular selling avenues: ebay, etsy, craigslist etc but I think a fixed store front would be good too.
It will be just the aprons for now but I may want to add other homesteading stuff in the future. Any recommendations will be appreciated Thanks! ![]() My Blog Last edited by noob; April 30th, 2012 at 03:53 PM.. |

There are several sites available with templates. You need to look at what these hosts offer for what you're buying from them--that is your site and backup. Free sites can be nice to start but a paid site usually has better hosting and backup, can be ad-free, and may even do advertising for you.
I'd begin with a google for "make your own online store" and then take several days/weeks to weigh the differences in each of the sites you feel comfortable with. Setting up the store should be relatively hassle free, but it's how the host handles your site which is the most important factor. You might also want to look if there is a genre site or online mall for homesteading or farming, any place where your shoppers can easily find your products. |

Look at 1&1, Rackspace or GoDaddy. All have very reasonable pricing for entry level websites.

I'd check out Weebly website creator. It is very simple to use. They have a very good free version and their pro version is reasonably priced.
